Doing well by doing good: we believe we have to reinvest time and effort to support the communities that allow us to succeed. This embedded core value leads Forum Phi to set an example of unparalleled community stewardship.

PRO BONO WORK

ALAMEDA POINT COLLABORATIVE

ALAMEDA, CA

The Alameda Point Collaborative is a supportive housing program for homeless and formerly homeless families in repurposed housing on the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station. The focus of this project was to develop a master plan and design a community room to be utilized as a positive place for youth to congregate. In partnership with APC, the existing clinical space was redesigned to be a functional, contemporary, and a “green” youth career center.

ASPEN VALLEY SKI & SNOWBOARD CLUB

ASPEN, CO

Forum Phi worked with AVSC to overcome fixed limitations of the existing space that created programming difficulties. We were able to reconfigure the interior spaces of AVSC’s current office to double the amount of space to facilitate growth and increase the impact they have on local youth. AVSC continues to teach children the very sport that revitalized the Aspen Snowmass area.

BASALT MASTER PLAN

BASALT, CO

By engaging with the community in an interactive effort, Forum Phi was able to assist the town of Basalt with a master planning service to help set a vision for the town. The plan is a principal guiding document in the development review process for the town. This document updates and supersedes the 1999 Basalt Master Plan and the Basalt Three Mile Plan that was adopted in 1996. Forum Phi was able to curate three options while collaborating with the Basalt community to gain crucial data allowing us to prioritize and plan the future of the town. Forum Phi’s process helped create a collective vision for the Basalt community.

CHALLENGE ASPEN

SNOWMASS VILLAGE, CO

A growing nonprofit facing severe space constraints without funding, Challenge Aspen sought a renovation that expanded the parameters of their current space. Forum Phi was able to double the size of the staff utilizing the same space, while installing a handicapped lift with direct mountain access. With the help of Forum Phi, Challenge Aspen’s updated and efficient space is better equipped to serve our community and those in need.

COASTAL REPERTORY THEATER

HALF MOON BAY, CA

Forum Phi designed the re-model of a community theatre that is located in a re-purposed industrial building. After spearheading a successful fundraising campaign to cover the remodeling costs, Forum Phi redesigned dressing rooms, restrooms, theatre seating, and the stage.

ASPEN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

ASPEN, CO

The main focus of the Aspen Historical Society is to enrich the community through preserving and communicating Aspen’s remarkable history. Forum Phi donated services to assist them with the design of a climate controlled, fire proof space where they can store and protect the historical documents and the history of our community.

ASPEN CENTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

ASPEN, CO

ACES approached Forum Phi with the challenge of reviving the bird-watching programs for the children. Forum Phi innovatively used the surrounding trees to create a series of platform treehouses allowing the children to have a “bird’s eye view”. Forum Phi also donated services for a custom built treehouse. We are excited about future opportunities to help this nonprofit expand and grow to increase environmental awareness in our community and its future leaders.
