Forum Phi Honored by Colorado Homes & Lifestyles as 2018 Home of the Year Finalist

Colorado Homes & Lifestyles announced the winners of their 2018 Home of the Year this week. The accolade recognizes award-winning architects, builders, and designers who exemplify excellence throughout the Colorado region. Always on the lookout for stunning homes, this award recognizes professionals who are paving the way for Colorado’s design evolution.

Forum Phi Architecture | Interiors | Planning and their work on the Artisan Cabin in Aspen, Colorado, has been recognized as one of two 2018 Home of the Year Finalists. Forum Phi is well known for being extremely versed in their experience working with the City of Aspen as well as the Aspen Historic Preservation Commission. This expertise led the homeowner to Steev Wilson and his team in order to restore and expand their home. Respecting the integrity of the original Victorian miner’s cabin built in 1886, the iconic Artisan Cabin was creatively updated adding to the footprint of the home. The team ensured that the renovation highlighted the cabin’s structural and architectural origin but also added a contemporary mountain update to the structure.

“Our firm is very excited to be recognized in this manner by such a great and reputable publication,” says Steev Wilson, Founding Partner of Forum Phi. “Being honored by the highly regarded Colorado Homes & Lifestyles is a wonderful distinction and we’re proud to be the only local firm and amidst the other finalist Cherie Goff of HMH Architecture and winner Dan Brown of Hufft.”

The work is featured in Colorado Homes & Lifestyle’s June/July Issue and showcases the incredible structure, architecture and interior design of this year’s chosen homes. Colorado Homes & Lifestyle magazine is the state’s leading home design and interior decorating resource for the community.
