Ten Peaks Ranch
With majestic views of the Roaring Fork Valley, this 1,950 square foot Ranch home was built with a goal to be as efficient as possible. South facing to maximize solar access, Forum Phi used a number of unique sustainable strategies. From the very basic consideration of the natural land grade and utilizing recycled materials, to strategically engineered overhangs that capture indirect light to heat the home and carefully designed window orientation to cool in the summer. The modern barn houses all of the solar energy acting as a power plant for the property and doubling as a furniture making studio. Providing an ease and flow of energy, the open living area is connected to the dining and kitchen spaces. The master bedroom and it’s covered deck can be found on the upper-level of the home, while the lower level quarters lead to the natural site grade and walk out patio. Tucked into the most private corner of the home, is a yoga studio.
