The redevelopment of this historic landmark property created affordable housing units for local employees of the Aspen School District, in a constricted affordable housing market. The project captures the essential charm of urban Aspen, while maximizing comfort in modestly – sized condominiums.
In order to comply with complex local code restrictions on the preservation of historic buildings, Forum Phi worked closely with the Historic Preservation Board to relocate the existing structure and clear the space for 2 additional buildings behind, to house eighteen people in seven units.
